First time ever heard CU on 2m, there's a lot of land before I reach the Atlantic Ocean from my QTH so I didn't think it would ever be possible to reach CU from here. Also I tried listening for CU3EQ in HM68 for quite a while but nothing received. CU8DUB beacon was audiable for hours. 73 Colin |

This makes a distance of 2986km and a first ON-CU on that band. CU8DUB/B up to 549 as from 21:00 In attach, a recording of the CU8DUB/B beacon (144.420) and CU8AO calling CQ. After 6 hours of monitoring the CU8 beacon finally popped out of the noise and peaked 419 while being 12 dB stronger in Belgium at ON4KHG. CU8DUB/B has 30 Watts in 4 el Yagi beaming NNE at 700 meters ASL. |
