Every ES-Season I'm chasing 4X and OD5. Today was the day, at least 50%. Since 1240 UTC I copied signals from the South East, mainly SV6, SV2 and SV1. Starting at 1302 Israel stations popped up. At 1302 I finally completed with 4X5IB for my first terrestrial contact with 4X. What a joy. One more followed and unexpectedly even 5B4AIF as first terrestrial to Cyprus. I was even being copied by 4XDA (KM71MV with his Diamond X-200 vertical. Also 4X5CD only had an IC9700 and a single 7 ele yagi. Sadly OD5, though QRV and workable in South Germany, was never copied here. At 1315 I copied "A61SD 4X5CD KM72" – hence, there probably was also ES from 4X into the Emirates. Last 4X signal was received at 1441 UTC. I heard but did not work 4Z5CP KM72 and TA4ACZ KM66. I heard quite a number of SV, E3 and I stations but was on the hunt for new squares and the DXCC prize od OD ! I stopped calling CQ after a time as XYL had visitors :-((((((( Throughout the event I was plauged by numbers of PD, PE and DL stations that seem to think I might be E-S DX and called me non-stop - unfortunately we have to put up with such noise!
