A good early evening event with a lot of fading but occasionaly strong signals. It was really great to see so many Ukranian stations on the air.

When on FT8 it is worth looking at PSK reporter - I was flagged by:

My 1st and only contact was very near the begining of this opening. After that things got tougher as more stations were alerted. I decoded UT9UR, UR3EE, US5EII, UR5HVR, US8AR & UB3YFP. Then there was a brief pause then YO3CCB,YO9CED & YO2BBT. Signals were either very strong or very weak, rapidly changing state. Making it difficult to complete. UX5UL was a new call but not a new square. 73 Bob

Opening lasted from ca 17:25 to 18:50 UTC with some up and downs (I missed the first 10 min). Strong signals sometimes, but quite unstable. I heard also LZ2CM KN13, YO3GJ KN24, YO3PGF, YO4RDW KN35, YO5CFI KN16, YO5DND KN17, YO5OUC KN16, YO5PLP KN27, YO6DBA, YO8OE KN37, YU7MS KN05.
All QSO were made in in FT8; I called sometimes in SSB but no replies and no STN hrd.

I was too close to most openings that day. In addition I had to winch down the antenna and QRT for several hours due to an avalanche of thunderstorms and high winds. After the last one, I restarted at the end of an opening here, which resulted in one signle QSO, but many many others in Europe enjoyed a very nice Es opening.

Several other Ukrainians seen. As well as a few EU/EW and UA3 up to KO84. I had to leave in the middle of the opening. Nil heard in SSB.

All the silly spots on the DX cluster using my callsign were of course not originating from me...

There were 2 Es events in my QTH. The first was a 10 minute opening to LZ1DX, which seems to have been the only one active at that time in LZ, as to my knowledge no others were worked by any other Ham.

The second opening started after most of the late afternoon aurora (K was 5!) faded. It seemed like an explosion of High MUF clouds over eastern Europe. Some signals were extremely strong (UT9UR, UX5UL), others would pop out of the noise for 15 s and gone again.

Called but NC: US5EII, UT9UR.UT4LMZ, UR5HVR,
Heard: R2ZIH, UA3QLC, UR8EN.
I was flagged by RD6F at the start of te opening. 2750 km....

Awesome day on 144!
