Rig: IC9700 50W 2x9el.DK7ZB ODX: IT9BDM JM77NE 1341 km Log: 17:39 IT9BDM JM77 18:15 IT9PQU JM77 18:19 IT9FRR JM77 Comment: Extremely short opening of a maximum of 7 minutes for SSB to IT9. No other station from my region (JN48) had an SSB QSO to IT9 and only one station in the JN48 area had contact via FT8 to IT9. FT8 is not suitable for such short openings. I "disturbed" IT9PQU and IT9FRR in their QSO on 144.277 MHz ;-) |
Rig: IC-7000 + HLV600 + 13Elts F9FT ODX: 1276km Log: 17:46 SV8PEX JM99WO FT8 Comment: Hrd lot of SV ---> FT8 QSO need time more than SSB CW. So if signal is strong, try SSB / CW. CU 73's |

When the FT8 traces are strong in Es and/or when I see traces in the range 144.200-400, I leave FT8 aside and I move to SSB (/CW). GL all, 73 |
