Sporadic E in the early afternoon. Reflectionpoint was around JO40. QSO's reported from UK into Hungary, Romania, slovenia, Serbia and France to Barlerus.

Was qrv 6m with rx in shack on 144300, saw on waterfall "local" on FT8 S9+ sig still there after few mins so got curious and looked - glad I did as managed the qso with Oleg before sigs faded.
But FT8 is not the mode for 2M Es - qso seemed to take forever !!
No other stations seen/heard.

My first Sp-E of 2019; watching the SDR waterfall during a pile-up on 144.300 I spotted a new signal appear on 144.200 and called back; the QSO was extremely brief perhaps, quite a surprise and all over in 10 seconds - 73 all
