All began @14:28 when the VOR from Karpathos Island (KM35nj) showed up on my screen. For about an hour I saw constantly Santorini, Sitia(Crete) and Rhodes VORs but there was no sign of ham activity from SV9/SV5, probably busy with a contest on 6m. Finally Nikos SV9ANK honoured me with the first qso after such a long waiting. Conditions remained quite good and also Michael SV9CVY came through after 20min. @16:30 Samos Island (KM37) was still there, but again noone from SV8/TA gave us further emotions. |
