Sporadic E
The opening in the afternoon provided good activity from Marocco. Several stations were worked from different locators. It seems that FM is worth checking that QTF. We noticed some spotting on the DXC after the opening. We understand that it is a kind of confirmation but please take note of the fact that after-spotting will upset warningssystems like LiveMUF or DX-robot. Same do spots as MUF2M etc. |

The tropo from EA8 did not extend to CT1 but was probably strong off the CN coast around IM64. So it might have beed es+tropo or possibly extended chordal es. The EA8s were mostly working french stations around IN98. I also heard EA8AVI but he was under a F6 station that sat on 144.300 for 2 hours.... The FM QSOs were fun but again the QRM, particularly from ON ststions calling me was fierce... |

On 145.612,5, I heard 2-3 EA7 hams in QSO on a local EA7 repeater, amongst them, EA7JAS (IM67NS). I have spent quite some time on 145.500 and 145.550 calling and listening. Only CT1DQM came back to my CQ's. In such an opening, 20 years ago (more activity), many more QSO's could have been achieved from here. 73, Gaëtan |

Hrd: EB7BKY, CT1BYM, EA7SU, and a CT on 145.500 in QSO with G4FUF. Not a trace from CN8KG unfortunately. Perhaps we can donate him an SSB rig (as a pile up in FM is terrible)? :-) |

Other stations were heard but weak. Spent most of the time looking for CN8KG who showed up in FM on 145.500 from IM64 . It would have been a new # for me. However... I did not succeed before end of opening. |
