Sporadic E in the morning with not to much activity. In the afternoon wide spread ES on 50 MHz and 70 MHz and the band opened which resulted in a good opening into the east.
Several stations were lucky to catch the morning and the afternoon opening.

Saw high MUF in the east on DXMAPS and LiveMUF and decided to call on .300. UR3EE came back after just two calls, so maybe the band was open before. QSO nc that time, but Artur peaked S9+ later on. Signals were really good with the usual QSB. Last more or less stable signals heard at 7:45, later on just bursts.

The first real Es opening for me this year, although I was on the edge of the Es resulting in flaky signals. I probably missed the first 30 minutes as I was still enjoying breakfast... and no, I won't interupt breakfast for Es ;) Pity only, that as usual most stations were at .300 making a mess out of it. I was also called by UE5MGK (?), who was abt 600 Hz below my QRG. I missed his locator and the report as I could not RIT so quickly. Pity, no idea where he was...

Sporadic E in the morning with not to much activity. In the afternoon wide spread ES on 50 MHz and 70 MHz and the band opened which resulted in a good opening into the east.
Several stations were lucky to catch the morning and the afternoon opening. |
