Whilst it was going crazy in North West Europe working into SV etc; being on the very edge, in io93 VERY little was happening, but being patient did help and was rewarded with these two contacts, I guess it's a perennial moan by all us DX chases have to live with, being on the edge and listening to our fellow radio amateurs friends working stuff we can't hear.

Again initially my paths were in the Med', but the cloud moved NE and SV came into play. Only two stations worked, but one new square. It seems that 2m Es is almost a daily occurrence these days. Today though, just 2 were worked here. I was very pleased to work Piotr SP8WJW in KN09SR for a new #. I had tried to complete a MS QSO with him many times but could not quite make it. Today along came a friendly Es cloud in just the right place to complete an easy 59/59 QSO. It was also nice to work Alex UA2FT on voice after a number of MS FSK QSOs. I also heard a SM4??? calling CQ but like many others recently, he faded before he had concluded his CQ call. Again SV was not possible here, SV4LRJ was heard in QSO but again faded out quickly. I still have only managed to work 1 SV from here since moving to Cardiff in 1980 and that was SV2DCD 2 years ago. One day I hope we get a great opening to Greece.

Today though, just 2 were worked here. I was very pleased to work Piotr SP8WJW in KN09SR for a new #. I had tried to complete a MS QSO with him many times but could not quite make it. Today along came a friendly Es cloud in just the right place to complete an easy 59/59 QSO. It was also nice to work Alex UA2FT on voice after a number of MS FSK QSOs. I also heard a SM4??? calling CQ but like many others recently, he faded before he had concluded his CQ call. Again SV was not possible here, SV4LRJ was heard in QSO but again faded out quickly.
