Again - like yesterday - I was too far in the north. No Russian stns to be heard at 12:30. Then I had to qrl, back at 17:30. At that time there was no G, no I, no IT9 for me. When Es seemed to be finished the signal appeared for a minute, short QSO, and the signal disappeared in the noise again. My first African stn and new personal ODX-record.

I heard lots of other stations in all directions working Es but only heard a couple of LZs working into PA. Then IH9YMC appeared, S9+20. He remained at that level for 15+ mins only getting a little weaker when he beamed to EA for tropo(no Es callers!) Nothing else heard.

Very sporadic Sporadic. Loads of Italians heard at 59 then gone quickly - including an I8K??/8 in jm88, a locator I have been looking for for years. He was 59 in QSO with G4RRA but faded after the QSO was finished. I heard him a few times afterwards but QSB took him out before a QSO could be made. The only consistent signals were from IW9BJU (in at 59 for around 10 mins) and HV0A who after my QSO was completed, called for a while with no answers. The HV0 was a new DXCC for me.

Interesting opening, or openings... The 3 Russian friends came up on my CQ and there were probably more, but opening was over in 3 minutes. Sorry guys.
Since today, I split RX cable to FT847 and RTL Dongle, running SDR# as a panorama RX, I can simply see on what QRG there is activity. Helps a lot in finding stations.
