29. Aug 2010 Sporadic E season 2010 has ended? As August has passed, we may assume that the Sporadic E season 2010 has ended. The start of the season brought us many openings but July and August were disappointing. The team of MMMonVHF wants to thank everybody for sending logs to the review pages and in that way contribute to better understanding of the Sporadic E mechanism. There is still a lot to discover ... Perhaps we can say now that almost every opening is discovered, thanks to software like LiveMUF (G7RAU), DX-sherlock (EA6VQ), loggers (eg. ON4KST) and maybe in the future realtime SDR-based monitoring. As we know there is also a mid-winter season for Sporadic E and maybe the 2010/2011 winter will bring us 144 MHz Sporadic E ... we just have to observe the band and use the tools that are available!
