So was patient until I got my chance. The other ones dissappeared almost after 5min.. Fine opening again. Could have worked much more in FM if not the QRM was that chaotic. Heard two guys from OH long time on 145.500 who didn't believe me that I'm not on OH-land :-)). They always told me to stop QRM...sic!

This is only the second time I've achieved ES contacts since obtaining my licence in '92. I never seemed to be in the right place at the right time hi. Only a very very basic station here but I had no problems working barefoot with just the FT225RD. Most stations were heard with 59 on my makeshift antenna under the roof.

The first real opening this year at my QTH after a very spotty one yesterday frustrating me while listening to all the other OMs around working lots of DX... Wow, nice "Father Day" present. No new squares, but especially the opening into UA3 provided nice strong signals (UA3ARC being the strongest!). I also heard some female conversation on 145.500 (FM), but was not able to break-in. CQ on 145.550 did not bring any response. The 2nd opening into EA was very patchy with very short openings. Anyway, lad it happened during the week-end, otherwise the activity at this time of day would have been much less.

Good opening, started here with YL3 like allways I was too late in shack.. My little girl was giving CQ too so had to share my time. It was worth it ;-) worked several EA and CT stations band was crowded but most activity was on 144.300 +/- 1KHz There was a contest going on so I was happy to give away some good points (CT1DIZ/p got 1676 points from me.. hihi) Had to leave before the end of the opening, it was very frustrating to hear EA broadcast on 96.2MHz where normally is our Radio 3FM.. also on 100.7 Q-Music was wiped out by some EA station.. they were louder than locals.
