Final result released and checked February 2013 by DK5EW/Erwin Witt

Congratulations to all winners and participants of the MMMonVHF.de + DUBUS MS Sprint Meteorscatter contest.

Due to personal reasons I have to give up my activity as MS Sprint contest manager which was based on a idea by me in2007.
I thank all participants of the last years for taking part in this contest and making it to one of the most popular meteorscatter
contest in Europe. 73's Erwin/DK5EW

The new contest manager will be Frank, PA4EME.

soap box

UT5ST: TNX FOR TEST!

YL2AO: Tnx for the Contest! 73! Juris

YL2IV: Thanks contest ! Cuagn in 2013  73!  Oscar

HB9FAP: Many thanks for organizing also this year the MSsprint contest. It is always a great pleasure to take part to the contest and enjoy the perseids. This year, due to unfortunate circumstances, we couldn't take part during the full 48h, so we just were active for about 10 hours.    Many thanks to Nick HB9EFK, who decided to join me. See u next year!

IK3VZO: tnx to all for qso, great event, great contest.

DM2ECMhier ist meine kurze Abrechnung. Die super EW- Aktivierung brachte mir 2 neue Großfelder. Bis zum nächsten Meteorschauer

UT2UB: Thanks to organizers for the excellent test, unfortunately this year fulfilled only 12 hours. To a meeting in the following competitions.

DL1VPL:many thanks to all om’s  ! I found a lot of activity, just from eastern europe. The feeled peak of the shower was for me the morning of Aug. 12, but it may depent from big activity in that time ( 2 times 3 QSOs per hour ). We should find a solution for the start periode for CQ call on 370 (who may call first, who second) , to avoid QRM during good tropo propagation in middle europe.

R1BMS:This year, we worked the same team. Artem RD3ADS(13 years) spent a lot of time at work in the air, he likes MS. We waited Perseides peak on August 13, but came North Aurora and badly spoiled conditions. Activity in the contest increases, many new stations. We all thank the organizers for a great contest and we hope that they will continue this nice event. Thanks to all who called us and hope to new QSO's . 73!Alex and team of R1BMS

EA3BTZ: Now after some years out VHF, I’m QV again in Barcelona city. At the moment my equipments is just a QRO

EK6RSC: Thank you in advance for the contest, this is my first participation.

RK1AA: Thanks a lot for the contest, really got a lot of pleasure during it!

R5AO:TU for contest!

and finally ON6NL:

1 - My target was to work some new squares. And I did! 8 new squares were worked all over Europe! Of course waiting in the pile ups, finding out the modus operanding and convincing ops to make a sked takes quite some time! 2 - I start the contest with a party. Patrick, ON4HIL invited us on his 10th wedding anniversary Saturday evening. It was a great party where I met a lot of my HF-DXer friends. When I came home the contest was already a couple of hours under way but the excellent food and drinks made it impossible to start.
3 - After 2 hours sleep I started to contest. It went rather smoothly but the lack of sleep was too powerful. I had to go back to bed after 3 hours. Lesson learned: sleep as much as you need!
4 - I made a "first". Not a new DXCC for me but help a colleagues radio amateur to make his first MS QSO. This year Jos, PA3FYC had the courage to point to the stars for a first MS QSO. With the fantastic help of Julius, HA6NY and all of us on the KST-chat, he managed to make his first MS QSO in spite of very poor reflection at that moment! So we have a new scatterer in the South of the Netherlands, practically on the doorstep of Frank, PA4EME and me!!

So this year probably no beautiful certificate for the number 1 position for me out of the hands of one of the MMM committee members. A total of 38 QSOs and 53108 point should bring me a top 10 position. Never the less I had a lot of fun with quite some remarkable QSOs. UA3WM for the ODX of 2037 km in the contest. 9A3INA worked on 388, my first MS YL YO5LD with the longest burst of 140 seconds! and 8 new squares!

Thanks to all my QSO partners for the patience, the MMM committee for the organisation of the contest, and my family to allow me to sit all day in my shack.... on my birthday!
