Result of your TOP 20 VHF DX Expedition 2009
As the result of the Voting 2009 the Team of MMMonVHF is happy to announce the following person / groups as winner:
1st place and so „BEST VHF MS Expedition of 2009”
UX5UL – UT6UG – UY5UG
Behind the well-known Ukrainian Team of Oleg UX5UL Valery, UT6UG and Gregory UY5UG did manage a lots of very successful expeditions to several of the very rare and most wanted squares in Eastern Europe during the year 2009.Mostly qrv on 2m Tropo and MS they did make a lot people happy with their well planed trips.
The PI9CM Team (Chris PA2CHR, Juergen PE1LWT and Johan PA3FPQ) with the help of Ranko 4O3A were working from Montenegro in May on MS and EME mode in parallel. Despite of some trouble during their trip (car-problems, thunderstorm, etc.) several people were happy to work “4O” as a new DXCC from them.
Rolf, DK2ZF, activated five rare grids as a “one man show” during the Year 2009 and did fill his logbook on MS, Tropo and as well EME. As well for the year 2010 there are plans and maybe we will see him later on EME and MS again.
1st place and so „BEST VHF EME Expedition of 2009”
5Z4EME – PI4EME
The Team of Rene, PE1L, together with Ronald, PA3EWP and Eltje, PA3CEE were active at the past years from very and rare DXCCs all over the world. In the year 2009 they started from Kenya and did win that EME Category with the double votes than the next participants! For this year (2010) the Team plans the next great EME trip on 2m and 70cm to Mauritus.

The duo” of two very well-known EMEs with Bob, ZL1RS (as well 4S7CCG, ET3AA, A35RS, ST2RS (sorry a long list would follow) and Lance, W7GJ (2M DXCC since 1999 and 6M DXCC since 2005) was out on an very successful trip for 2m and 6m EME!
As well the well-known person behind that activity: Dan HB9CRQ (also team leader of HB9Q) was able to activate the rare DXCC Namibia, together with a team of ZS6OB Pine and XYL Erika, ZS6WB Hal, ZS6JR Daniel and N7BHC Dave (he tried transatlantic-tropo-ducting!) on 3 band EME (144, 432 and 1296 MHz - second priority 50 EME and satellite).
