Good openings today. It started quite early with an opening between DL and SV but activity was low. Later a second and third opening created good Es for quite a long time.
For the first time we created maps from the seperated parts of the openings. So you have to scroll down a bit more as usual to find the induvidual logs.

Saw the ES opening in the cluster. No antennas at the moment for 2m. So I put an 10ele. at the mounting for the TV antennas and get my FT-857D out of the car. I was lucky and could work a couple of stations with this little rig.
At 15utc the band opens again. Main direction was East. I was lucky and had 7 QSO's with the low Rig.

This was the 1. ES on 2m for me this year AND WOOOW - what a fun.
The signals was mostly strong over S9 also RV6YY with a distance over 2393km was +40 over nine. Hope this fun will go on !
Checked the beaconband in the early morning, after seeing high MUF over the Adriatic Sea and Italy in LiveMUF (tnx G7RAU). Nil from IT9, but SV3GKE/B was there! At 6:38z...Heard the beacon for at least 15min with a decent signal, but almost no activity :(
The second opening from 10z on was really good, but I was a little too close to the reflexion area. Anyway, one of the best openings I ever catched, so I won't complain. Signals were very loud, but most stations could be heard only for a few minutes. Unfortunately I had to QRT at 12z, so I missed the third opening to UA3 and UA1. Missed every single opening to that area since I started on 2m in 2003, hi. Someday...

1st opening low activity in Greece, 2nd unfortunately I was too close to the reflection center, 3rd was the best for me 2day :-)

The SMS-warning of GoodDX did wake me up, but I was too tired
to be quick enough. Only caught the last minutes of that early opening...
Therefor the 2nd opening was great! lot of stations heard and worked.
Was hoping on new one (KN65, 75, 76 ...) but no chance up to now....
Again an opening (3rd) occured to UA3 area - great signals, but lot of chaos...

marginal activity in IT9; interesting to report: I heard LY2OK and LY2R, respectly at .305 and .295, for about 45 minutes at 9+30; the antenna direction was ok for the qso from 15° to 75° without signal
decrease/increase. For LY2WR, that I heard very very weak (just for 2 minute, to complete the qso), the ONLY antenna direction possibility was around 20° (normal beaming direction to LY)! Turning little bit
more/minus, the weak signal disappear... Probabily some combinations between ES and Tropo.....

Another nice opening, and the day is not over yet. All FM QSO were on 145,5 MHz (checked also other channels). Poor activity on SSB from Ukraine. Hrd also UR5XZA (in FM), RX3AA, RK3AF.
Missed daily openings, but catch the "top cherry" opening. Looking on the Es map, OH6 stations should be DOUBLE-HOP Es - first over North YO and second over LY. Two new squares KP03 and KP14...Sorry that opening was too short, with rapidly rising and set down signals.

Thanks to Lasse, OH6KTL I didn't miss the opening completely. There were several YU and HA stations on the band when I switched on my radio. The First QSOs were made with low power (25 W) as there were no time to wait the amplifier to warm up. After getting the amplifier ready the pile-up was time to time overwhelming:)
Thanks for the QSOs and several new squares! QSL sure via buro or direct (no irc/usd/eur required).
What a nice Es opening! I was especially glad that I made a QSO with TA7OM, I was looking for him during last 10 years, I heard him several times in past but we hadn't made it until now. Another dream contact was done with Neil, ES6DO. He wrote at KST chat "Hello Matej, I used ALAN CT145 with rubber 10 cm original antenna. I was in garden when heard you about 5 min clg CQ. You ansered to my 20nd call." I guess it should be noted that I used my EME PA on 145.500 MHz FM with 600W out. Many thanks Neil for your patience!

PS: all contacts are in MP3 at my web: http://ok1teh.nagano.cz/es.htm#last070610
Fantastic opening, the kind I am dreaming about often. Worked 5 new squares; KN36, 44, 45, 64 and 66 some of them several times.
People were very kind on and around .300. Compared to the HF-ers, VHF-ers are (almost) all gentlemen!
Big fun again! Worked a lot of the famous calls from Russia unworkable for me on MS.
2 new squares: KO95 (2x), KO85 (5x)!
100W and a 13el is good enough for Es when the band stays open so nicely.
ER is a new DXCC for me on 2 meter.
Worked 5 new squares , what an opening.
Heard UY5HF in KN66 but the big "orange" guys north of me with 2.5 kw where calling over me , no chance for the low profile 20 watts guy overhere ...a bit frustrating....hope to get my KW back soon from the repairshop ...
Good opening and I use only an indoor dipole and bare TS-711.
LY2LE was very strong as was UA3PTW.
I worked all I heard, but with an indoor dipole not bad :-)
Hope to add a few more with minimum setup this year !
Heard many more...furtunatly I have a digital S-meter...if not the needle would have been broken...UX0FF was 59+60 dB for a long time.
Some advice: QSO-rates could be much higher if stations would be more spread out....
83 qso with 2 doubles. 59 report for all.
Vy nice to work with you. Vy gld to meet some stns again after years.
Sorry for missing any stn in pile-up.
Lucky day for me. :o) 73 to all! cuagn
