When I came home the opening had already started, and I just had few minutes with strong signals. But some weak E_S sigs arrived here from time to time until 15:45 h.
After very little Es in July here ist the first opening for August. Let's hope for some more. This was 144MHz Es event #7/2009 for me.

Was at home not at VHF-QTH. RIG is there 50w with 20m high loss RG213 cable - no preamp and a simple groundplane. Heard some others but no chance with small rig/power.

Maybe the last ES for this year in HB9 I think. Heard some more SV-
stations but they seemed to have a too big pile-up down there. It's
still more easy to work into the crowd than to work out of the crowd :-)

Short and strange opening, only three callsign heard and worked with strong signals, no qsb, in the middle of the contest.
Tried to call many times... none other stations heard.
Thought the clouds had moved above us, many stations in the French call eastwards.
Many 73's and see u agn, Raoul.
Was looking for a YU contesting station, when heard French speaking station...Really big chance! Sorry if I missed someone, pileup was really hard!
Thanks for the big fun! 73's
It was the worst ES session for LZ an east EU from 10 years to now. I was lost hope for a nice opening this session. Finally after over 3 mounts of waiting and few contact via Es sporadic for me the time is come.Today everything change. During massive QSO on 6m band turn radio on 2m and Happiness :). All most every signal was real 59 signal. Big QRM and I am heard a lot of station call CQ on west EU contest. Catch some :) Lost some station in confusion but I am so glad today new # new fun. Please QSL card 100% return. Hope to see You soon again :) 73 from LZ2RBB

I'm sure i missed a few stations with the pileups but, on average, it was a great day and a great way to start August ! Strong signals all round, new dxcc and grids worked. QSL via bureau or QRZ address :)
